LABORATORY SERVICES
The
Scarborough Regional Hospital Laboratory provides diagnostic services to the
people of
Tobago. Most of the basic testing is done on site with specialized and less
frequently requested tests being referred to other laboratories in Trinidad.
BUSINESS
HOURS
CASHIER'S HOURS: 8.00 AM to 3.00 PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY except on Public Holidays.
SERVICES
OFFERED
1. Diagnostic
- laboratory tests ordered by a physician.
- an emergency service is provided to the hospital twenty-four hours, seven
days a week.
- fees are charged for tests requested by private doctors.
2. Bloodbank
- for the collection and screening of donated blood to be used for therapeutic
purposes e.g. surgery.
3. Paternity
Testing Appointments
- appointments for paternity testing ordered by the courts.

2. Bloodbank
Blood can
be given VOLUNTARILY every three to four months.
Blood can be
given for a specific person.
Blood can be
given for oneself as an AUTOLOGOUS DONATION.
3. Paternity
Test Appointments
If one
has a case before the court and the court and the court orders that a paternity
test be performed, an appointment must be made at the Hospital Laboratory.
Clients
(all parties), must pay the fees, and obtain an appointment at least on week
before seeing the doctor. PLEASE BRING PICTURE IDENTIFICATION.
COST: $200 - For two adults and one child; $10 Extra for each additional child.
APPOINTMENT
DATES: Every second Friday.
APPOINTMENT TIMES: 7.15 AM AND 7.30 AM (Only two sets of clients can be seen
on one day)
