PHYSIOTHERAPY DEPARTMENT
Physiotherapy is the provision of services to people to restore, develop and maintain maximum movement and functional ability throughout their lifespan.
The service is provided in circumstances where the process of aging, or that of injury or disease threatens movement and function.
Full and functional movements are at the heart of what it means to be healthy.
(Excerpt from Appendix 4 : WCPT Description of Physical Therapy, 1999)
